WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bag or something to actually put patches on. There are SO many things you can choose from here.
Patches next. I have found a couple shops that make incredible Stoney Clover dupe patches. They look so similar and are wonderful quality, too.
- Chenille letters
- Rainbow
- Airplane
- Star
- Bow
- Lightning bolt
- Disney rainbow
- Minnie Mouse
- Mickey Mouse
- Smiley face
- Heart
- Peace sign
An adhesive of some sort. I have used hot glue on fabric when making this bubblegum costume and used fabric glue on my dollhouse makeover. Both are great options, so it’s up to you whichever you prefer or already have on hand.
how to make
- Gather your supplies. Choose your bag and letters or other patches. Make sure your patches will fit whatever size bag you’re working with.
- Put your patches in place. Lay out the patches on the bag and figure out the correct placement of everything to ensure you glue patches down properly the first time. Use your adhesive (I prefer glue over ironing) and allow time to dry completely before using.
- Show it off! Proudly wear your new Stoney Clover dupe around and be prepared to get lots of compliments and questions about your cute item!
turn into a gift
To make these Stoney Clover dupe bags a gift item, fill them with special goodies or favorite things. Tie a pretty bow around it and you’re done. So simple but really meaningful and adorable, too. The personalization really takes it over the top for me!
These Stoney Clover dupes with personalized pouches would be perfect for so many things: toiletry/makeup bags, travel, diapers, snacks, cords, pencils or pens. You could also use this same method and patches to personalize a wide variety of things beyond pouches like bags, backpacks, even clothing items like sweatshirts or denim jackets.
I bought some of these patches in my daughter’s initials and put them on a little backpack that she uses for dance class. It turned out so cute!
