I love this Valentines card template because a lot of schools these days require non-candy Valentines. Coming up with something cute and clever is little more tricky when you take treats off the table. With a young daughter, play doh is a large part of our lives and felt like a great item to give her classmates.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Mini play doh
- Plastic cookie cutters or other play doh accessories (optional)
- Clear cellophane bags or other goodie bags
- Double sided tape
- Cardstock
- Scissors
CREATE YOUR FREE VALENTINE PRINTABLE CARDS
I use Canva for all my cards and labels and find it very user friendly. You can use any application you want if you desire further personalization. I’ve included a few printable options for you. One where the text is centered, one where you can add a picture (like I did), and a circle label which can be sized to fit the top of your play doh container.
- Determine which Valentines card template works best for you.
- Size it to fit your play doh, goodie bags, or whatever else you’ll be using.
- Print on cardstock and cut out.
- Use double sided tape to adhere.
*If using the rectangular template, cut your card and leave room at the top to fold over your bag.
PUT EVERYTHING TOGETHER
I placed one mini play doh tub along with one play doh accessory in the bottom of a clear cellophane bag. Using double sided tape, I folded the top of the bag over a little (mine were a bit too long) and stuck it down before adding my printable card. After cutting out my card, I folded it in half and over the top of the bag and stuck it down with double sided tape.
If you just want to use the circle label on top of a play doh container, just cut it out and adhere with double sided tape. So easy.
This truly couldn’t have been more simple or turned out more cute. I’d love to see if you use the play doh valentines card template!
