So excited to share Kennedy’s 1st birthday party pics and details with yall today. I had a lot of fun coming up with this idea and making it a special day for our sweetie. It all started with the idea of playing off the saying “this ain’t my first rodeo”… The party invitations read “this actually is my first rodeo” and the theme for Kennedy’s first birthday party was born.
I’ll say that I didn’t go OVERBOARD with the rodeo theme because first of all, she’s one and didn’t even know what was happening, but two, I wanted to keep it fairly simple while remaining sweet, feminine, and girlie. I didn’t want everything to be red and white ginham, so instead, I chose a color palette of soft pinks, blues, and mint. I added little touches of rodeo with some boot decor, hay bales, a diy flag garland and a good old Tex-Mex menu.
I’m sharing lots of pictures and all the details for everything I can down below. Hope this is a fun read and maybe gives you some inspiration for your own girlie rodeo to throw! I think our cowgirl had a special day surrounded by her family and close friends. We loved celebrating her, as always.
