Happy Monday! I'm really excited to share with yall a new online shop I've just tried for the first time, Shein. You may or may not have heard of this online retailer (I'm guessing most have not), so let me tell you a little bit about my first shopping experience with them.
Shein is a huge online retailer that sells all sorts of clothing items at VERY low prices, like we're talking some things are as low as $5 or $10! I know what you're thinking... sketchy. And honestly, at first glance, the low prices definitely made me think twice. BUT not everything is as low as $5, so truth be told, I'd probably never purchase an item that inexpensive because it would make me nervous.
If you go searching, you'll find tons of Shein reviews online - both good and bad - so my advice would be to take them with a grain of salt and just keep a few things in mind. First and foremost, not unlike my advice for shopping on Amazon, you really need to know your proper size and pay close attention to the sizing charts available for each item. Also be sure to look at photos and other reviews. I like to see what the items look like on a real person (not just a hanger or flat lay) before purchasing! And finally, just keep in mind that something you buy for $20 is most likely not going to be a piece you have in your closet for decades to come. They'll serve their place and purpose for a good season or two, but that might be all you get out of it. For me, that's okay!
I was very pleased with my first experience and will definitely purchase more items from Shein in the future. This sweater is of great quality, fit as expected, and was priced really well. Like I said, I think you can find some really good and cheap pieces that will last you for a short while here but will be fun to wear during that timeframe.
Let me know if you have any other questions about my shopping experience or how things work at Shein! Happy to share more details if needed. Have a happy week.
