Fall Trends From The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

There's one week left of the best sale of the year and today's post is one I've been so excited to write! As a fashion major in college, I've always had an interest and love of researching and predicting trends. In fact, one of my favorite classes in college was Forecasting!

I've been paying close attention to what people have been buying like crazy during this Nordstrom Anniversary sale plus all the publications I regularly read, which predict trends for upcoming seasons, to prepare this post! Excited to share with you some fall trends, all of which I'm excited to try! :)

This is one of my favorites... be prepared to see bell sleeves everywhere in the coming months! This simple detail adds so much interest and I love the shape it creates whether on a top or dress.

Booties are no new trend, especially for fall, but I am loving all the fun and different details (like laser cuts and perforations) that make this trend feel fresh and fashion-forward. My friend Arin bought the cutaway pair below and they are even cuter in person!

Another perfect trend, especially for the feminine girl (me)! This black dress is a personal favorite from the NSale and keeps selling out because it's just THAT good!

Rich, soft textures like crushed velvet and suede were all over the fall runways as well as all throughout the Nordstrom Sale. This fabric is so luxurious and romantic! I'm obsessed with the pink Rebecca Minkoff crossbody and can only imagine how perfect it would be for date night or a fall/winter wedding!

Another obvious trend from the sale is the bow and tie details all over sweaters, dresses, tops, shoes, bags... you name it! It's a fun way to spice up an otherwise basic item, so I'm all about this one!

This is the one trend I'm most uncertain about but also excited to try! I've never owned a pair of mules but it's pretty clear they're here to stay this next season. If you've tried them (and love them) be sure to give me your favorites and any shopping tips!

Sweaters are an obvious basic come fall, but this year it's all about the long look. Easily paired over a tee with jeans or even a dress, this is probably the easiest trend you can jump on board with! The creamy ribbed look is a favorite of the entire NSale for me!

What trends are you most excited about? Most unsure about? Seriously give me all the tips about buying mules... I'm at a loss but eager to give it a shot!
